Bhakti, karma, jnana are strictly paths or approaches that implicitly use consciousness study, but not practices in yoga sastra per se.

While Veda is not as subtle-body centric as yoga sastra, its primary focus on mantra sastra and adoption of the same in almost all sampradayas – vedic tantric bauddha jaina etc and consciousness classification (levels of vak, three-fold and four-fold truth, five sheaths etc) cannot be overlooked.

Secondly the adhi daivika – adhi yajna – adhyatma division of Veda clearly puts where consciousness study and yoga sadhana in its inseparable place in the Veda mata.
