How said, the writers have contributed ill-motive to the selfless service of these exceptional missionaries, who had great appreciation for our religious writings. Introductions, and commentaries may contain errors and misconceptions, this does not mean an ulterior motive. Thiru.vi.Ka. the Tamil scholar observes that interpretations can distort the true message of any Scriptures. Adhi Shankara for example argued that Atman and Paramatman are the one and same and discouraged idol worship based on the teachings of the upanishads, on the other hand on the same upanishads, Ramanjuar said Atman and Paramatman are different and he promoted idol worship but attacked caste system. Now can any one attribute ill motive to these scholar saints work because they disagreed on vital points.? I am at loss understand why some section of Hindu friends want to attack Christianity How many people these persons have converted to Christianity, due to this work? Why these works should be translated into English to convert a native.? This article is divisive, and sows poisonous seeds in the minds of the innocents and the common people. The works of people like Thayumanavar, Thirumoolar and Vallalar promote universal brotherhood. People should live in harmony and in peace. Religion and religious doctrines should not be used tonurture hatred int he minds of the people. What is the point of converting without conviction? People who convert for material benefits are really not converts. Our country has givent he freedom to chose their “Ishta Devada” for worship and veneration. Jesus Christ himself was against conversion. I am Christian pastor, and in my sermons I quote extensively from Shankara, Ramanuja, Manickavasar, Appar swamigal and Ramalinga swamigal. Truth belongs to all and every one is entitled to seek it for the benefit of their souls. Sir, please do not do harm even if you cannot do good.
Thank you and be blessed

It is now clear LTTE was a Church funded mission, Sonali Waduge and Subrahmaniam Swami have already proved. Jesus did not even exist and all of his peculiarities like virgin birth, 25th December, healing sick etc were taken from Pagan religions and mystery religions.

Did you read the article? The title was meant to be sarcastic — the article was refuting the idea that there have been any “contributions” by Christians to the Tamil language. *Sigh*, I feel like people these days prefer to skim, or even glance rather than actually read things.

I am of the same opinion, that Bishop Robert Caldwell was promoting a sectarian agenda. He is not a man of God.

Yesterday I had posted about this topic on my blog-page.

Vedic studies included grammar and phonetics and etymology. But these were studied in the pursuit of self-realization and moksha. But consider what Rev.Caldwell had done. He studied grammar to drive a wedge between people and communities .
